Two students at Scarsdale High School, Natalie Hu and Alexandra Simon, are volunteering to improve the lives of children around the world and are encouraging their fellow students to join them. They got involved through an Operation Smile Club during their freshman year.

Operation Smile's Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Ruben Ayala, is leading the surgical nonprofit's global health policy efforts that are promoting access to safe, timely, and effective medical care to underserved communities around the world.

The Daytona Beach family-fun entertainment venue has added bumper cars at the park’s Family Entertainment Center. It’s the only facility in the city to offer the attraction, according to the park. The bumper cars are included with any Fun Park Wristband.

“We want to give Aberdeen families something to look forward to this spring,” part-owner David Novstrup said in a news release. “We think it’s important to create a family-friendly event for everyone to be able to start the spring season off on a high note.”

Madisyn Eppleman is a senior at the University of South Carolina with a major in nursing and a minor in psychology. She is from Virginia Beach, Virginia, where Operation Smile has its headquarters, and she’s been a part of the organization since middle school.

Daytona Lagoon, central Florida’s premier family entertainment center and waterpark, introduced its new yeti mascot, Sunny, to the public today.
